ABC’s Defying Gravity is my favorite sci-fi show currently on air.
Defying Gravity is set in the year 2052 and follows a group of astronauts as they undertake a six-year mission to explore the solar system aboard the spaceship ‘Antares’, a mission that has a mysterious element to it that could spell their doom.
If like me you’re into the series, you might like the above slideshow. I’ve compiled 100 episodic and promotional cast photo’s to create the biggest Defying Gravity image gallery I’ve seen. Enjoy!
Defying Gravity screens on ABC on Sundays at 10/9c.
Silver Banshee is one of the dozens of super villains who try to capture Superman and Batman in 'Superman/Batman: Public Enemies'
Screenwriter Stan Berkowitz is the man behind the pen of Warner Home Video’s upcoming animated feature film, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.
The film follows events after United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a Kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty on the heads of the Man of Steel and his “partner in crime,” Batman. Heroes and villains alike launch a relentless pursuit of Superman and Batman, who must unite – and recruit help – to stave off the action-packed onslaught, stop the asteroid, and uncover Luthor’s devious plot to take command of far more than North America.
Custom District 9 "Prawn" Mecha Battle Suit Maquette
One thing Neill Blomkamp’s excellent District 9 has been lacking is action figures and other cool related movie collectibles. So if you’ve been looking for something to add to your collection that’s District 9 flavored you’ve been largely out of luck. Until now at least.
A new TV spot for Roland Emmerich’s 2012 has been released. The TV Spot is an advert from the Institute for Human Continuity (IHC), a fictional corporation that features in the new film.
It’s their slogan at the very end of the trailer that I love.
Zoe Saldana as Neytiri in 'Avatar' - truly beautiful (click to enlarge)
Instead of posting them on Sci Fi Scoop I used Twitter to point to the latest round of Avatar images that were recently released by Empire Magazine. But a moment ago I was checking in on another of my favorite sites, MarketSaw, and spotted those images again. This time I couldn’t help myself from posting at least one of those images.
The above image is of Zoe Saldana’s Avatar Neytiri. Even in 2D that’s a beautiful image. To repeat Jim of Marketsaw’s words, “Truly a work of art.”
Avatar hits theaters:
Australia – December 17, 2009
USA & UK – December 18, 2009
Back in June Executive Producer Joe Gatta announced that a new feature film based on the Marvel character Red Sonja was definitely going ahead sometime in 2010 (perhaps kicking off in February).
Rose McGowan (Charmed /Grindhouse / Planet Terror), who was cast an eternity ago in the lead role, has now confirmed that she’s still contracted to play the sword wielding flame-haired heroine.
