‘Being Human’ Is Picked Up By SyFy For An American Version
Syfy has handed out a 13-episode order to a U.S. version of the BBC show Being Human from RDF Media USA.
Being Human revolves around three twentysomething roommates — who happen to be a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf — as they help one another navigate the complexities of living double lives.
The deal for a U.S. take on the show at Syfy marks the first scripted series order for the cable network following its rebranding this summer designed to attract broader audience. It also marks the first scripted series order for RDF Media USA.
‘Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen’ – Top Selling Release Of The Year
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, the year’s number one movie, had already become the top-selling home entertainment release of the year, with first-week sales of 7.5 million units, according to Home Media Magazine market research.
The sequel also became the biggest-selling Blu-ray Disc release of 2009, with first-week sales of 1.2 million units.
‘The Box’ – Interviews With The Director And The Cast
A bunch of new interviews have been released from The Box.
The Box tells the story of Norma (Cameron Diaz), Arthur Lewis (James Marsden) and their young child who receive a simple wooden box (with a button) as a gift from a mysterious stranger (Frank Langella). The stranger tells them that the box will magically bestow them one million dollars if they press the button, but that the consequences of doing so will be the death of another person elsewhere whom they don’t know. The movie follows the consequences as they face and act upon their moral dilemma.

‘Smallville’ Season 10 – Execs Are Pushing For It
Smallville hasn’t even crossed the midway point of season 9 and already talk of a possible 10th season is heating up — and not just among fans. “We are really, really pushing for season 10,” says executive producer Kelly Souders. “We really hope it happens.”
‘Legend of the Seeker’ Marathon to be aired on SyFy
As the time for Legend of the Seeker second season air date is coming closer, SyFy and Disney-ABC Domestic Television have decided to present a special Legend of the Seeker marathon event, where the viewers can watch six episodes from the first season in a row. The marathon will take place on Thursday, November 5 from 6 pm – 12 AM, ET/PT. This is especially useful to introduce the show to viewers who haven’t seen the 1st season yet, but also serve to peak interest of those who’re waiting for the 2nd season. The Legend of the Seeker TV Show is based on the best-selling Sword of Truth book series by Terry Goodkind.
