Trey Stokes Delivers Brilliant Sci-Fi With ‘Ark’

Since writing the above article I have been fortunate to view an early screener of the entire ten episode series.  I say “fortunate” because Ark delivers brilliant sci-fi and in my opinion is the best science fiction web series that I’ve seen so far.

‘Fissure’ Webisode 9: What Body?

Fissure follows Detective Paul Grunning (James MacDonald), a man with a tragic past who finds himself on what is meant to be a routine call out – only it is far from routine.  Instead he finds himself investigating a possible murder amongst strange circumstances that force him to question his perception of reality.

For the past nine weeks director Russ Pond has been releasing short webisodes that combined follow the first 35 minutes of the film.  On Monday the ninth webisode, titled ‘What Body?’,’ was released a day ahead of the film’s DVD debut.  Yes, the full film is now available on DVD.

30 ‘Stargate Universe’ Webisodes in Development

Syfy have allocated a full production unit to produce thirty original Stargate Universe webisodes that will tie in with their new series.

The scenes will take place through the eye of a sphere called the “Kino” that independently hovers around the ancient ship Destiny, spying on the crew.

“It’s flying around and spying on people,” says series co-creator Brad Wright. “They are literally just voyeuristic scenes we’re shooting specifically for the Web. It’s an extra way to get a window on our program and gives fans a slice of life look at our ship.”

‘Lost’: Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative Ep 1

The ABC unveilved a new Lost related webisode series at the San Diego Comic-Con titled Mysteries of the Universe: The Dharma Initiative.

The show is a faux 1980’s “short lived television series” that advertises itself as being “of interest to fans of Lost.”

The Dharma Initiative
A project discussed for years in and around conspiracy circles. Once thought to be lost, this explosive documentary series has never been seen before…until now.

The series will consist of 5 webisodes, with each one to be released a month apart.  The first one was released July 23rd, watch it now:

‘Fissure’ Webisode 7: Questions

The seventh instalment of Russ Pond’s sci-fi thriller Fissure has been released as a webisode titled ‘Questions’.

Fissure follows Detective Paul Grunning (James MacDonald), a man with a tragic past who finds himself on what is meant to be a routine call out – only it is far from routine.  Instead he finds himself investigating a possible murder amongst strange circumstances that force him to question his perception of reality.

Fissure’s filmmakers are releasing the first 35 minutes of the movie as 9 free online webisodes.  35 minutes into the film there’s a twist and they hope that once you’ve seen the 9 webisodes you’ll be hooked enough to want to see the DVD too.
