G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra will hit DVD and Blu-ray on November 3, 2009, Paramount Home Entertainment has announced.
In G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra the G.I.Joe team travels the world from the Egyptian desert to the polar ice caps and the streets of Paris in a high stakes pursuit of Cobra, an evil international organization threatening to use a technology that could bring the world to its knees. Armed with the coolest hi-tech gadgets and weapons the G.I. Joe’s are the world’s last line of defense.
The popular Stephen Sommers directed flick, which grossed almost $300M worldwide at the box office, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray as a two-disc set and also as a single disc DVD.

Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut Blu-ray and DVD box art (click to enlarge)
Warner Bros. has released the box art (above) and details for their upcoming Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut DVD and Blu-ray release.
Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut offers a brand new cut of the film. This is the one (that I’ve been waiting for) that has the animated film Tales of the Black Freighter woven into the actual film.
If you’re a serious Watchmen fan this is a must have. You should also be aware that The Ultimate Cut will be a Limited Edition collectors item with Warner Bros. only releasing 70,000 units. Given that’s only 0.03% of the total number of DVD and Blu-ray copies of Watchmen previously sold, I’d suggest get ready to pre-order as soon as its available.

These denim shorts can be yours
Between October 8-9 Profiles in History will be auctioning off a ton of props and costumes from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Included in the auction are all the clothes worn by Megan Fox in the film (including what she’s wearing in the above image), a full-scale-screen-used Bumblebee (stands almost 17 feet tall), the 1977 Chevy Camaro Bumblebee car, and a host of other Transformers 2 items.
There are more than 100 items up for sale. In fact, you want to demonstrate just how crazy you are for Transformers memorabilia, you can even bid on an unopened 500 ml water bottle used by Shia LaBeouf in the film. It comes with a prop fire extinguisher which, I suppose, makes it a little less “crazy”…

Check out this severely awesome Judge Dredd vs Alien Polystone Statue collectible.
It’s a Limited Edition of only 1000 that draws its inspiration from the Judge Dredd/Alien crossover series by Dark Horse Comics.
The polystone statue is sculptured by First4Figures in conjunction with 2000AD, using the classic Henry Flint illustration. Every detail is intact in what is a perfect representation of the transmogrifying of the Dredd/Alien heads.

Resident Evil: Afterlife is the fourth movie in the Resident Evil franchise. It will be filmed in 3D and will be released August 27, 2010.
Director Paul W.S. Anderson recently confirmed Resident Evil: Afterlife would be the first in a new Resident Evil trilogy, adding that he regarded the next film as “a re-tooling and rebirth of the entire franchise.”‘
So I’m somewhat surprised to hear the rumor that Sony Screen Gems are looking to turn Resident Evil 5 into a complete franchise reboot.

It’s advertised on eBay and at the time of posting this article there’s just over one day left on the auction, so if you’re interested you’ll want to get a bid in pretty quick smart. Bides are up to $201 at the moment.
The seller is advertising it as a fully padded, industry/movie grade prop that is constructed from industrial resins/fiberglass, metal parts, professionally painted with high end auto paint (base coat and clear coat).
It looks awesome, sure to grab the attention of any Halo fan. “Sick” might be a more appropriate descriptive.

“Ohhh what!” were the exclaiming words that came out of my mouth when my eyes first fell upon this awesome looking Iron Man collectible a while ago.
Now it’s available via a “second chance opportunity”, which means it was all sold out but someone lost their deposit after failing to pay the final balance. In other words, snap it up quickly or miss out.
It’s a Hot Toys manufactured 12 inch figure based upon the Iron Man Mk II figure from the Iron Man film, and “hot” really describes this collectible.
