With Twilight series directed by Stephenie Meyer continuing to gain its popularity among its multiple fans, another vampire movie is preparing to be released – Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy. Sure enough, because both of them are about vampires, the two are going to be to a certain degree ‘rivals’. Let is therefore try to compare the shows – and of course all of the fans are welcome to comment and utter their opinions. The competition begins! We will be comparing the two series using several criteria that are pretty much obvious: their main characters, plot and storylines, romantic relationships, friendship and vampire images. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has recently confirmed on Twitter that the first trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be released on December 17th. However, Disney is now offering to all of the Pirates fans an opportunity to see the trailer four days earlier at the AMC Downtown Disney Theatre 12 in Anaheim, California as part of its ‘Pirates Fans First!’ contest. In order to celebrate the upcoming release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Moviefone has announced a contest aimed at finding the biggest Harry Potter fan. The fans from all over the United States have been contributing their videos trying to prove they are most obsessed fans of Rowling’s wizard boy, boasting with their books collections (sometimes in the languages they cannot even understand), multiple T-shirts, etc. However, there is a guy who claims to be Harry Potter Himself, and he is certainly something else, with his three rooms crammed with Harry Potter collectibles, different Harry Potter clothes to wear ever day for three months, a J.K. Rowling autograph tattooed on his forearm, and a complete obsession with all HP stuff. He has read each book for more than hundred times. He calls this video the proof that he is ”absolutely, completely, and utterly OBSESSED with all things Potter”, and that he is not only the biggest fan in America, but also the biggest fan in the world. In expectation of today’s release of Moon we’ve been running a competition to give away a very cool poster for the film signed by the director himself, Duncan Jones.
We received some excellent entries, but in the end we had no choice but to select the one that made us laugh the most, and that accolade goes to @moviechopshop with “I want the moon poster-Always had a dream of mounting Sam Rockwell in a mind-melding series of concentric circles on my wall 
”
Update 2/7/09: Unfortunately for @moviechopshop they failed to reply to our request for their address and more than two weeks on we needed to send this poster somewhere. As a result the poster will now be award to Ryan Horvath, our lucky runner up who also demonstrated more eagerness to own this poster than anyone else. Congratulations Ryan.
