Justin Marks, who is writing 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea for Terminator Salvation Director McG, has been hired to adapt Playstation 2 game Shadow of the Colossus for the big screen.
Shadow of the Colossus is a popular video game that centers on a character named Wander who along with his horse Agro must travel across a Western-style world to defeat sixteen giant enemies and save a girl named Mono. Wander’s challenge lies in locating each Collossus and uncovering their weaknesses through a series of puzzle-like challenges.
The game was originally developed for the Playstation 2 and was first released in 2005. The film adaptation will be produced by Kevin Misher for Sony. Misher’s productions include the upcoming street-fighting film Fighting and the Johnny Depp/Christian Bale gang epic Public Enemies.
The game also runs by the title Wander and the Colossus in Japan.

Capcom have announced the score to their upcoming game Dark Void has been composed by Bear McCreary, the renowned music composer behind Battlestar Galactica, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Eureka and the upcoming Battlestar prequel, Caprica.
Bear McCreary states that he has always wanted to score a video game but has been waiting for the right one to come along. Watch the following in game footage and you’ll realize just why Dark Void is the one that caught his attention:
In game footage from Dark Void:
If you like Battlestar Galactica music, then you’re likely to get right into the music of Dark Void. Bear McCreary has stated fans of Battlestar Galactica music would “flip out” over the Dark Void score. Heres two short excerpts from the score:

An in-game scene from the Terminator Salvation game
It doesn’t show in-game footage (like the image above), but the newly released trailer for the Terminator Salvation game is excellent and well worth a watch. Take a look for yourself:
I was impressed with the first Batman: Arkham Asylum game trailer. This second trailer shows more in-game footage but that hasn’t soured my first impressions as often is the case. From initial impressions, this game will do the Caped Crusader justice.
Even if you’re not into these types of games, check out the trailer anyway as it’s really quite cool:

A new X-Men Origins: Wolverine game trailer has been released that includes footage of the actual gameplay. It does look very cool:

Sony have launched a free online Terminator Salvation game – at least, that’s what it’s meant to be.
First I tried to register, but nothing happened except the cool music kept playing. Then I tried to play as a Guest, but the same thing happened – it kept up with ‘Connecting’ but after endless waiting nothing happened.
The music was cool though…
Anyway, I thought maybe it was a problem with Firefox, so I tried Chrome. Nup. I then tried Internet Explorer. Nup. So basically Sony have launched this game and I can’t play it so I can’t write about it. The introduction looked cool though.
I’ll try to connect again another day, but in the meantime maybe you’ll have better luck than me (if so, please post a comment!):

The image above is a Terminator Spider from the upcoming Halcyon Terminator Salvation game. No doubt it offers us a glimpse of one of the Terminator bad boys we can expect to see in McG’s new film, but in any case it might look cool enough to spike your interest in checking out the game. If so, watch the following preview for it:
Terminator Salvation: The Game
The game is scheduled to be released May 19, 2009. As far as I’m aware, there is no official website for the game (yet) but there are a heap of screenshots available Action Trip.
