‘Planet 51′ Extended Clip

A new extended clip has been released by TriStar Pictures for the Planet 51 sci fi movie, which hits theaters on November 20th in USA.

Planet 51 revolves around American astronaut Captain Charles “Chuck” Baker, who lands on Planet 51 thinking he’s the first person to step foot on it. To his surprise, he finds that this planet is inhabited by little green people who are happily living in a white picket fence world reminiscent of a cheerfully innocent 1950s America, and whose only fear is that it will be overrun by alien invaders… like Chuck! With the help of his robot companion “Rover” and his new friend Lem, Chuck must navigate his way through the dazzling, but bewildering, landscape of Planet 51 in order to escape becoming a permanent part of the Planet 51 Alien Invaders Space Museum.

‘Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time’ First Official Trailer

Finally! The first trailer for the Prince of Persia movie. And I have to say it looks damn good especially in the HD quality - the fans should definetely like it. The movie will be packed with action and special effects, which ofcourse comes as no surprise, but if it can be judged by the trailer, it’s all done pretty good. You still get a bit of the “game” feel for the movie, which can be good for the gamers or bad for the newcomers, but overall it’s all nice.

‘Bad Robot’ Concept Teaser

Bad Robot

Check out the following concept teaser trailer for Bad Robot, a new sci-fi/horror/comedy from commercials/short film director Ruairi Robinson.  Yes, this is a short film.

Robinson is well known for Fifty Percent Grey, a short film for which he received an Oscar nomination.  He’s also known as the director tapped to take on the live-action Akira film. But arguably he’s best known for the awesome short film Silent City. The company behind Silent City, Image Now Films, is the same company behind Bad Robot.

The teaser is short (what you’d expect for a short film teaser) but the animation is excellent and the mood is ideal.

Check it out after the jump.

‘Metropia’ Trailer and Images

Here’s an interesting trailer for an independent Swedish film that demonstrates some very cool, very creative digitally animated sci-fi.

Metropia, directed by Tarik Saleh (who also wrote the screenplay) and aimed at an adult audience, takes place in the not-so-distant future. The world is running out of oil and the underground train systems have been connected into a gigantic subway network beneath Europe. Whenever Roger (Vincent Gallo) from Stockholm enters this system he hears a stranger’s voice in his head. He looks to the mysterious Nina (Juliette Lewis) to help him escape the disturbing web of the Metro, but the further they travel, the deeper he’s involved in a dark conspiracy.

The film also includes True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård as the voice of Stefan.
