Check out another clip from Blood: The Last Vampire where Saya (Gianna Jun) and Alice (Allison Miller) are attacked by a demon whilst driving. This movie looks great, despite the obvious CG.
Blood: The Last Vampire follows a half-human half-vampire samurai named Saya who is part of a covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan. Saya is inserted into an American military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon is disguise, a mission that leads her through a series of intense swordfights as she hunts the deadliest vampire of all.
Blood: The Last Vampire will be released:
UK – 26 June 2009 (18 June at Sci-Fi London)
USA – No official release date (originally tentatively set for July 2009)

I saw the movie and it was pretty disappointing. It started out good, then went quickly downhill after the first 30 mins or so. Plot holes, production errors and some cheesy acting. I was just waiting for it to end.

I’ll still give it a chance, although you’ve dropped my expectations somewhat, especially since you seem to share my view on many movies as far as I can tell (aka I know you agree TSCC was intelligent, Terminator Salvation was better than expected and Lost is awesome). Since Kings I’ve become a bit of a fan of Allison Miller so I am at least hoping she’s still good in the film.
