Monsters director Gareth Edwards will direct the  Godzilla reboot. Does he seem the right man for the job? Let us have a look!

Godzilla is one of the greatest movie monsters of all times, and for about a year lately we have been  following the development of the Godzilla movie franchise from Legendary Pictures. In September te company claimed it wanted to bring the monster back to his roots and deliver a movie very different from Sony’s 1998 remake. Now, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have appointed Gareth Edwards (who had directed Monsters) as the movie director.

Monsters had been rated quite highly, and it has been stated that Gareth Edwards hd managed to deliver a uniquely insightful human story using an alien invasion as the premise. It makes us believe that Legendary Pictures have made the right choice by bringing Mr. Edwards to direct the Godzilla reboot.  Taking into account that the film director managed to achieve amazing results of the special effects in Monsters with a relatively small budget, we are looking forward to see what he is able to do with a huge budget that is very likely to be appointed for Godzilla. This is going to be impressive!

All in all, Gareth Edwards seems to be a great  choice for directing the movie. Let us therefore hope that the film will be as awesome as we expect it to be!
