Variety carries an exclusive interview from the maker of Avatar, James Cameron, in which the director talks about the technicalities and future of 3D movies. The interview springs up a completely different image of the flamboyant director who feels that his sole inspiration for a film like Avatar was Peter Jackson. Cameron believes that there is a wide range of opportunities existing in the 3D genre of filmmaking that can be explored by directors from all over the world. He also said that he wants to see what his film can contribute to the world of 3D filmmaking. Not trying to reveal too much about his future projects Sanctum and Fantastic Voyage, Cameron still managed to say that his films would definitely experiment with new elements. Titanic in its new avatar is what we wait for Mr. Cameron!
