Alexander Siddig for Primeval
Alexander Siddig is going to appear for season 4 and 5 of Primeval and this time the UK fans are going to love every minute of this long running scifi series. Fans can look forward to 2011 as a year when Primeval would be making an entry every UK home with a better cast and story. Along with Alexander, Ruth Kearney and Ciaran McMenamin too would be joining. The plots too seems to be interesting and now with such a great cast things are definitely going to roll faster for Primeval.

There was nothing wrong with the UK cast . i can see the point in casting Americans if the show is to be made for a US audience as there are many more of them ( Americans ) than there are of us.
Its a shame 5that ITV is so short sighted. They aseem to think that we will put up with every cop show they push on us.personally I gave up watching ITV a while back.
Hasn’t it occured to them yet that the police are viewed slightly above politicians, by the general public.
As to Doctor Who . A great show ruined by cutting the budget and returning it to the childishness is the early 70’s .
i watched the first two episodes of the new series and then stopped .Good luck to th new cast, but the character the new chap plays is juast too Childrens happy Hour for me

Concerning “Primeval”, I am thrilled it’s got two more seasons anyway. And I am one American who has no problem with the all UK cast. I love the accents. ;~) But it might be interesting to carry the show beyond the shores of Britain, if only for an episode or two. But not for good and all. This is a British show, it belongs with y’all. My one regret concerning the new seasons/series is that we have neither cable nor satellite so I’m going to have to wait for the new episodes to make their way to Netflix!
Now, if they’ll Just quit changing the cast!
Re. Dr. Who- I am sorry to hear the new Dr. Who is “Childish” but I admit I was concerned when I heard he was even younger than the last. To my mind, a Time Lord, someone who in his consciousness at least, has lived many lifetimes, many ages, should have some degree of maturity, a great deal of it actually. I don’t say the actor/image of Dr. Who needs be a senior citizen. But it’s difficult for a very young person to convey a sense of hard and time earned maturity. David Tennent(sp?) could and did pull it off well. It showed in his occasional veiled threats, the self assured attitude of one who has had experience and has been toughened and KNOWS he can deal with whatever he faces to the regret of those who would balk him. I just don’t see a really young actor carrying that off.
Just my opinion.

Re: Doctor Who. I haven’t been watching the show for 30 years. I have however watched all of the 2005 series at least three times. I’m now going back and watching the entire collection of the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker. I’m not completely turned off with the 11th Doctor. C’mon…The Van Gogh episode was so good.

I found Primeval by accident when searching for something to watch on Netflix. I have really enjoyed the series, and can’t wait to see more of it. As an American, like JayGo, I also enjoy the accents, and think it should remain an all Brit series. Hope in the change up it doesn’t loose its “team” feeling.

I was looking for something new on Netflix and found Primeval. I have really enjoyed it. I love Brit TV and don’t think it’s necessary to change things just for the American audience. There are plenty of Americans out there (myself included) who love to watch the interactions, dramas, and change of pace found with BBC TV. I do hope Primeval continues to develop, as the premise and the entire story line are original and fresh.
As for Doctor Who, I have been watching it since I was a child, and love each new episode. Tom Baker was definitely my favorite Doctor (that is, until David Tennent came along. I remember a few episodes, however, that talk about the Doctor only being allowed 12 regenerations. I wonder how that will be dealt with, since BBC is going through them like Kleenex?

I too stumbled onto primeval when searching through Netflix. My son and I love the show and can’t wait until we can get the 4th and 5th seasons.
