‘Alphas’: Syfy’s new series
Since Syfy has cancelled Caprica and Stargate Universe, they still have to do something to attract the fans of superpowered actions shows. With no idea yet whether Battlestar Galactica: Blood And Chrome will turn into series or will only remain one movie, there are more good new shows to come, and one of them is Alphas that tells the story of a team of some superpowered people who solve special cases. Read more about the new show after a jump!
The pilot script for Alphas was created by Zak Penn and Michael Karnow, the show is directed by Jack Bender, formerly the main director and producer of Lost. Alphas, or people with superior mental powers, are working for the government. Their leader is Bill Harken (Malik Yoba), there are also Nina (Laura Mennell) who possesses the super-power of persuasion being able to make people do practically anything, Gary Bell (Ryan Cartwright) and Rachel Myer with super smell powers. The Alphas are not supposed to use their superpowers unless there is an emergency.
So looks like the show is going to be quite cute and funny, so let us wait and see if Syfy brings us another good series with this one.
