Astro Boy ‘Escape From Metro City’ Clip and New Images
Summit Entertainment & Imagi Studios have released an excellent new 3:25 clip from their upcoming animated feature film Astro Boy titled ‘Escape from Metro City’.
You can watch it and check out a handful of new images from the film after the jump.

Astro Boy is a new animated 3-D film adapted by Imagi Animation Studios from Osamu Tezuka’s popular Japanese franchise of the same name.
The story is set in futuristic Metro City and follows a young robot built with incredible powers by a brilliant scientist trying to replace the son that he has lost. The young robot (Astro Boy) is unable to fulfill the grieving man’s expectations and so embarks on a journey to learn about himeslf, the world, and ultimately must battle to save Metro City.

Freddie Highmore (The Spiderwick Chronicles / The Golden Compass) provides the voice of Astro Boy and Nicolas Cage is the voice of Dr. Tenma. Donald Sutherland and Kristen Bell’s (Heroes) voices are also featured. David Bowers (Flushed Away) directs.
Astro Boy hits theaters October 23 2009.
