‘Avatar’s’ TV Rights Sold

In its biggest ever success, FX has managed to get the TV rights for James Cameron’s Avatar. The Hollywood Reporter carries a report about the TV rights being sold for about $25 or $30 million. FX is also all geared up to provide complete 3D experience to the audience but for this one has to wait till 2012. The long wait is all because HBO and DVDs to get a fair share of the movies success. ESPN and Discovery would be the two other channels that would have their 3D infrastructure in place by the time FX airs it sometime in 2011. FX seems to be on a roll these days as it not only gained the TV rights for Avatar but has also bagged the rights for films like Twilight Saga: New Moon etc.
