CW Network Hopes ‘Smallville’ Doesn’t End This Season
When the CW Network unveiled its 2009-2010 schedule we learned Smallville had been dealt a seeming death blow by being re-scheduled to Friday nights (The Vampire Diaries replaced it on Thursday’s).
Typically when a scripted series is moved to the Friday timeslot it doesn’t guarantee the demise of the series but it doesn’t help it either. With Smallville’s move coming in the wake of the cancelation of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles it is hard to think anything positive about the future prospects of the super-hero series.
In response to fan concerns that Smallville is probably now entering its final season, CW Entertainment President Dawn Ostroff spoke with TVGuide.com.
“No …. It’s not necessarily the last season,” she said. “I hope it’s not.”
That’s about as reassuring as it gets.

I would really be upset if Smallville ended….for 8 years
I’ve been watching faithfully every thursday…my whole family
watches it…ages 7 thru 58. We take no phone calls and everyone
knows where they’ll find us. Everyone loves Superman and Tom Welling. This show has been good to the CW network and I hope
they realize Smallville fans…..and there are many all over the
world, would be upset and I’m sure the CW would hear from the
fans. There are many good shows on this network that reaches
all ages. Let’s hope the move to Friday will prove all those
who don’t watch or gave up watching that Smallville is a great
show and it has a great cast. GOOD LUCK SMALLVILLE….LET’S GO
TO SEASON # 10 !!!!!!!!!!!!
