It’s a rumor, but it’s a good one.  Whilst attending Dragon*Con 2009, Lucasfilm Publicist Steve Sansweet dropped the hint that Daniel Logan may reprise his role as Boba Fett for the new Star Wars live-action TV series.

Logan previously played the young Boba Fett in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.

When an audience member asked about Daniel Logan, Sansweet replied:

“A couple of years ago Rick McCallum said that he would consider it, and I would expect news from Daniel’s camp in the not-too-distant future.”

We can only speculate what that news will be, but it seems kind of strange to drop a hint like that without any substance to the idea.  As a result, Star Wars fans everywhere are now expecting an announcement that Logan will be the new Boba Fett.

Sansweet also confirmed that pre-production on the live-action series is about to kick off, will run into next year, and that the series should find its way to television screens during 2012.
