It is no news that one of the most popular sci-fi flicks to hit the theater in the year 2009 was District 9. This Neill Blomkamp movie was a masterpiece that was pulled out of the rubble of Halo, an aborted project by Peter Jackson. Neill is a visionary and this has been proven through his work which was hailed to be of great class by both the critics as well as the audience. His real struggle lay in the fact that he did not have the financial means to complete his project but managed to do so because there are still a few people who can recognize visionaries. Great talent only requires money and a platform to show their feats and District 9 portrays the same.
