Doctor Who’s TARDIS to be completely redesigned

According to the UK’s Mirror, the Doctor’s TARDIS is going to be completely redesigned inside and out and with a “radical new look”.
The BBC gave the green light for the new TARDIS to coincide with the arrival of the new Doctor Who, Matt Smith’s. From the Mirror:
Production sources say the decision is being taken by new Doctor Who writer and executive producer Stephen Moffat, who wants to distance himself from previous show chief Russell T Davies.
He wants the arrival of Matt Smith to signify a new era, and also to withstand Doctor Who being in high definition. A source said: “It will be the most hi-tech, intricate TARDIS ever.”
I’ve never been a big fan of the present design, so this is music to my ears. The TARDIS should be hi-tech! Now let’s hope that with the re-designed TARDIS comes a series that actually takes place on alien world’s and not in Britain…that would be another ‘re-design’ surely long overdue.

well Steven…. i think you are being a little silly
yes you can change the tardis but dont go over the top coz the mirror tardis just looks silly…
keep it blue and do not do too much change to the inside of it coz i found out that 96% of people in rainhill and america have read this and do not want the tardis to change because if it does they are going to stop watching doctor who because…..
1. they miss david tennant
2. they like the tardis how it is
3.. they are only gonna watch dr who if matt can be like david and the tardis stays almost the same
AND THEY MEANT IT.
please do not change it too much.

@Anna: I think all that crap has been said, what… nine times now? What if Matt Smith is just like Tom Baker?
Only think I have been hearing is “As long as he’s not like Colin Baker, all is well.”

well the new series is in to its 3 episode here in Australia, & Matt is doing a good job so far, he’s got some of Tennant in him, & the redesign of the Tardis is better than expected.
