To be honest I didn't even think of Goldsmith's score because in my mind I'd also describe Elfman's as heavy thematic, odd, and highly organic. But yeah, of course he's probably referring to Goldsmith's era. Nice pick up. All that said, a score comparable with Jerry Goldsmith's work is quite an achievement! It's the one score of his that I've listened to the most with Batman being second. If Hunter Prey's score is anything similar I think that'll be 'FANTASTIC' too! The word that keeps springing to mind is "essence" - the feel that I get from looking at these pics and reading about the film is that I'm seeing the essence that everything since Star Wars has been built around, in movies, tv and film alike. Hearing that the score is Planet of the Apes-esque is very encouraging also. Can't wait to see the trailer!
