Legend of the Seeker / Flash Forward

Proving that Flash Forward is well and truly on a path to greatness, Disney has now secured deals that will see it air in more than 100 territories worldwide.

In the latest deal, Disney-ABC International TV Asia Pacific has joined forces with Australia’s Foxtel, a pact that includes the expansion of a number of shows, including the hit fantasy series Legend of the Seeker.

The good news for fans is that the move forms a part of Disney’s ongoing effort to tackle piracy in a good way, by setting up agreements that will see episodes of their hit series air within 1-2 weeks of each other across different territories, rather than months or years behind.

“We believe this type of release helps to spread the buzz around the world,” said Ben Pyne, Disney-ABC Worldwide Television global distribution prexy. “We see that more and more audiences watch their favorite shows on the best available screens. So we want to make sure our content is available on any platforms.”

It’s a good move and is sure to make international fans happy to know that they won’t have to resort to breaking the law to keep up to date with US audiences on their favorite shows.

Fox 8 in Australia is airing legend of the seeker(first season) on 29th of November. Although I’ve got to say their advertisement is terrible, which is a real shame because I know it won’t get the viewers it deserves.
