‘Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said’ Feature Film In Development
Philip K. Dick’s 1974 novel Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said will be adapted to the big screen by Halcyon Co. and Electric Shepherd Productions, the production arm of the late authors estate.
Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said takes place in a futuristic, dystopian world where a celebrity wakes up after an assassination attempt only to find that no one has ever heard of him.
Previous films to be based upon Dick’s novels include Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report and A Scanner Darkly.
“There is such a treasure trove of material in Philip K. Dick’s work that it was a tough choice to decide which would be our debut film,” producers Victor Kubicek and Derek Anderson said. “His collection of sci-fi stories is truly unique and in a league of its own. Dick’s work by its very nature is perfect for the big screen.”
Kubicek and Anderson are also among the producers behind Terminator Salvation (Halcyon are the rights holders to the Terminator franchise).
Flow My Tears, The Policeman Said will hit theaters sometime during 2011.
