Fox Announces Reboot of ‘Fantastic Four’

Fantastic Four

Back in March we heard of plans to reboot Fantastic Four, but now 20th Century Fox have made it official.

The announcement comes hot on the heels of Disney’s announcement that they’re acquiring Marvel, although I’m unable to say if there’s any connection since Fox have perpetual rights to make Fantastic Four movies for as long as, well, as long as they want.

Michael Green, the co-exec producer of Heroes, writer of Kings and co-writer of the upcoming The Green Lantern will write the screenplay for the reboot.

Akiva Goldsman (I am Legend / Hancock) will produce.

Fox gave no further details.  It is not known if any of the cast or crew from the first two films will be involved, although the initial rumors speculated all new faces would be on board.  Those rumors have proven right so far.
