Fox Cancels ‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’?
UPDATE: We updated this post as a result of twitter users reminding us not to buy into the hype of what is and what is not official. Originally this post read that the series had been cancelled officially, which isn’t the case. We’ve heard, as have other news sites, that Fox has already drawn up the official cancellation statement but hasn’t issued it yet. In our dismay we jumped on the cancellation bandwagon. But as many twitter users suggest, hope is not lost until that official statement is issued. Who knows, perhaps it will be torn up by the end of the day. We’re hoping so and decided to amend this article to reflect it.
Fox has officially cancelled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles - at least, that’s the unofficial word.
If that news wasn’t bad enough, the other unofficial word is that Warner Bros. are also giving up on shopping the series to other potential networks.
Terminator as a television series is now dead – if we are to believe EW / TV by the numbers and a host of other similar sites.
But we don’t want to believe it, so for now, we won’t.
So, tell us what you think.

Man oh man that bites. And Dollhouse gets renewed? No way. I’m not going to watch Fox at all, not Dollhouse, not nothing (Dollhouse is crap anyway). Even if it was good I’d always be wondering.
I was going to buy the second season of Terminator on DVD. Not now.
In fact, I’m not going to buy shit from Fox anymore. I hope the few hundred dollars they normally get from me each year that I WON’T SPEND NOW is multiplied by a million Terminator fans. They won’t listen to anything but money so there you go, no money for you.
Bastards.

If Fox killed the Sarah Connor Chronicles… then fox is dead to me.
There are other Fox shows that I like, but none that I would buy on iTunes, except The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
All other Fox shows are dead to me now.

So it seems there’s been no official announcement but that all the news sites are reporting it as official?
If it turns out to be official, I’ll never watch Fox again. That’s a promise.

Our links are to Ausiello (who has been wrong in the past) and another site that doesn’t name its official sources. However on the inside world of media the word is the official statement is already drawn up and just hasn’t found its way to the public yet. Many news sites know this which is probably why so many news sites (us included) are giving up the ghost hours before the ‘official’ statement is issued by just calling it ‘official’.
Trust me though, everyone here at Scoop (all two of us) would love to be proven wrong on the ‘official’ nature of this decision. Humble pie would be happy pie if that were the case. Do you hear that Fox? Tear up that unofficial official statement and never issue it.

Fox now joins USA on my boycott list.

Ok, so it’s not cancelled, but probably is. Maybe all the twitter talk will make them tear up their announcement. How many times can you hear ‘F**k Fox’ and not react? Lol. Seriously though, this really bums me out.

Good to see the update Scoop – if only all sites could swallow their pride and do the same. I was angry when I thought it was official, now I’m hopeful once again.

Twitter peeps, last chance to tweet your anger at Fox:
@FoxBroadcasting #TSCC

When you go to look at Fox’s 09 schedule here:
http://www.fox.com/programming/fox09.htm
there is a link that says ‘Returning Series’. When you click on that link, TSCC is in the list.
BUT.
And this is where I have to point the finger at Fox and say ‘bastards!’ (unless of course TSCC actually does get renewed).
Because the link takes you to a page that says ‘Current Shows’. Bah.
Furthermore, Dollhouse is listed as a “new series”. Double Bah.
Is TSCC cancelled? Apparently The Hollywood Reporter leaked a list they have yet to print that was provided from Fox. Word is Ausiello obtained his information from a separate source to THR’s. On top of that, Leven Rambin who played Riley in the series posted “R.I.P. Sarah Connor Chronicles!” on Twitter and some people believe she heard from a friend of hers who is still on the show (whilst others speculate she read it online like the rest of us).
But, in a nutshell, Fox have apparently cancelled TSCC and issued statements on that fact for press to publish on Monday, but there’s nothing official to confirm it. So, for all intents and purposes, we need to hold our breath, take a shower, and check back over the course of the next 12 hours or so.
That’s about it in a nutshell.

From @ashman01 “Not to put too fine a point on it, but Leven didn’t know when *her character* was dead until we told her. Nothing official until tomorrow.”
The link you provided was an old one. Whether it’s really canceled or not, better wait for the official word.

I really hope they don’t cancelled TSCC. Don’t go by neilsen, i always worked Friday notes to had to dvr or watch on hulu the next day. The finale went to a very interesting place & should be explored!!!!!!!!

I am outraged! Fox has made some stupid decisions in the past (cancelling Tru Calling, cancelling firefly, filling their scheduling slots with reality television) and cancelling Sarah Connor one week before the premiere of the Terminator movie is right up there! Please bring this show back in some form…either on Fox, another network, or on DVD! PLEASE!
May 18th, 2009 at 5:04 pm
I have a question, and it’s a serious one: just WHOSE dick is Joss Whedon sucking at Fox? “Dollhouse” is complete and utter crap, while “TSCC” is actually fun to watch. The only reason “Dollhouse” could get renewed is if Whedon — or one of his sycophantic groupies — was sucking Murdoch’s flaccid member.

man if fox cancel TSCC thats fine if another network like scifi picks it up but if fox cancels and nobody icks up i will never again turn to fox chanel not even for the news you got it fox if u kill TSCC i delete you from my remote control

San Tropez, if I wasn’t so pissed at hearing about this I would find your comment to be hilarious.
Fox tore my heart out by killing Michael Scofield in Prison Break which was unnecessary. If we can’t have a Prison Break happy ending, ffs give us a happy ending for Terminator and the end of season 2 is not it!
Renew TSCC Godamm It!

Bad scheduling! Bad night, bad hour (seriously, SEVEN o’clock!???)
May 22nd, 2009 at 8:40 am

If you still wish for some kind of pick-up/proper ending to our fav show, write quick to: feedback@scifi.com, let’s hope at least they have a grain of salt in the brain!! :-8)

Fox as of last week is dead to me and if i was arich and powerfull man i would use my monet and power to destroy fox network forever the hell with you fox long live terminator SCC
May 25th, 2009 at 7:53 am
If the incompetent morons at fox don’t reverse their decision and renew Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles I will never watch fox again, ever. I agree with Gio, if I was a powerful multi-billionaire I would see about taking over fox and fire the bastards responsible for canceling everything. Out of all the shows I watch, Terminator is the only tv show in which I thought the finale (better end up only being a season finale) was phenomenal.

Guys we need to buy as many copys of the 2nd season on blu ray and dvd as possible so that if Fox makes enough money, they might consider bringing the show back for a 3rd season.
September 12th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
It’s been 4 months since the cancellation and I still haven’t turned it on Fox. Fox can bite me.
September 13th, 2009 at 4:05 am
