Forbes has just released its much awaited annual Celebrity 100 List for this year and like every year ranks the famous and powerful bigwigs of the entertainment industry.

The celebrated magazine deploys a complicated formula to shortlist these actors, authors, TV stars, athletes etc. Forbes uses ranking parameters like earnings, media visibility and social media ranking to give the most coveted top positions to the stars.

Oprah Winfrey is the celebrity that tops this year’s list while James Cameron occupies the third spot. Other celebrities in the top fifty include Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, Jerry Bruckheimer and Robert Pattinson.
