If you’re going to be in one of the few locations where Fox will host their ‘Avatar Day‘, a day when select cinemas and IMAX theaters around the world will screen 15 minutes of footage from James Cameron’s Avatar, get ready to stampede for the limited number of tickets being made available.

Here’s the info you need:

• free tickets will be distributed online starting Monday
• theater information, ticket instructions and links to the relevant theaters will become available sometime on Monday at AvatarMovie.com
• there is a limit of only 2 tickets per purchaser

Avatar Day takes place August 21, 2009.

If the footage won’t be screened near you, or if you luck out on getting tickets, the full trailer will apparently be made available online on the same day.
