Halle Berry Says “Storm Deserves Her Own Movie”

Halle Berry as Storm
X-Men Origins: Wolverine producer Lauren Shuler Donner has recently talked up a lot of X-Men spinoffs. Under discussion are X-Men: First Class, X-Men Origins: Magneto, an X-Men Origins: Wolverine prequel, a Gambit spinoff and a Deadpool spinoff.
Now it seems Halle Berry (X-Men / X2 / X-Men: The Last Stand) has added a request for an X-Men Origins: Storm movie.
“I think that would be great, ” she told The Sun. “I think Storm deserves her own movie.”
Would she return to reprise her role as the weather-wielding mutant?
“Maybe – if I can still fit in the suit,” she said.

I was just thinking the exact same thing right after viewing their newest “Origins” movie: “I think they should make a movie about Storm’s story with her mother!” YESSSS!!!!! But they’d have to bring in a whole lot of outstanding supporting cast and have a very excellent storyline to go with it! We love Halle!!

2 words: Cat Woman.

Storm’s background is far more interesting than Wolverine’s story. Halle Berry is a very beautiful woman and her own movie would be worth while.

Storm’s background is more interesting than Wolverine’s if you haven’t read Wolverine’s. Otherwise that’s too laughable to contemplate.
I agree Berry is georgeous, but a Storm movie would fail badly I’m sure. Her power is simply boring. Controls weather. Meh.
Storm is more of a human character in X-Men but fans don’t want to see movies about mostly human mutants. One of the reasons fans disliked X-Men: The Last Stand so much was because Storm got more of a front seat.
I think the chances of a Storm movie are zero. But that said, I’d go see it if they made it because it’s a superhero movie and I’m a sucker for them one way or the other (except for Cat Woman, because the promo image of Halle Berry in that Cat Suit was enough to tell me don’t bother). The reviews just sealed it.

Marvel owns pretty much all of the cool superheroes and I clearly don’t wish to infringe on their awesomeness. Though I do wish they’d reclaim the movie rights to X-men, Fantastic Four, Spiderman and ect, since Fox and Sony seem hellbent on ruining these franchises.

Halle Berry Should do a Storm movie only her though! If they do this right and stay true to the comics!

Halle Berry is our only and wise choice to allow her own big screen time to come to life, if not, that’ll be obscurb, why? because Storm is my favorite superheroine and Halle Berry is my top favorite actress in the world and that be unfair to go and approve of not making a Storm movie based on the opinion of narrow-minded zealots like our criticizing folks out their. So, give Halle a little more respect than that has already been given. She doesn’t just deserves it,but Storm as well!

but storm w/o accent is not good if they are planning to do an origin of storm. I agree that Halle is gorgeous but she actually soften the storm I know.

Storm deserves her own movie, but it doesn’t need to be Halle Berry. It should be Angela Bassett. She has the physique from her What’s love got to do with it movie. Besides what other woman in Hollywood is bound to put a Lightning Bolt up your butt when you piss her off. If not Angela Bassett, then Sanaa Lathon or Gabrielle Union are good fits.

Seriously? You think that controlling the weather is boring? COME ON! All Wolverine can do is heal quickly and he has metal claws. Wow. Stan Lee himself admits that the only reason people like Wolverine is because of his attitude. He also admits that he meant for Storm to be the most powerful mutant. Instead Jean gets all the credit for being possessed by the Phoenix (which, in my opinion, doesn’t make Jean more powerful since the entity is doing all the work). Plus, Storm is an Omega level mutant (it’s not speculative as some people think). She is one of the few who can assume the form of Avatar Eternity without dying. Furthermore, have you ever seen the weather? It’s completely destructive. She has to keep her emotions intact so that it doesn’t go haywire. She has the power to, obviously, control the weather (on any planet, including outer space’s cosmic storms), she sees the world as electric currents and can predict an opponent’s moves because of this, she can breathe underwater via electrolysis, she is a sorceress, and tons of things I’ve probably left out. She’s definitely powerful and I can see quite the storyline if she were to have her own movie.

You have a good point and, to be honest, that sort of power has never been done well in the past, but doesn’t mean it can’t be really capitalized on in the future. I just had visions of someone doing a scene where she really commands lightning properly or whips up a hurricane….

I agree. She never uses her powers to their full potential. It’s not fair
lol

YES!!! Please, please create a X-Men Origins: Storm. The movie would be great but the needs to be heavily focused on storm’s full potential as a Omega level mutant. Storm is an extremely powerful mutant and has demonstrated a plethora of abilities, most of which are facets of her power to control the weather. Storm possesses the psionic ability to control all forms of weather over vast areas. She has been able to control both Earthly and extraterrestrial ecosystems on several occasions. She can control the temperature of the environment, control all forms of precipitation, humidity and moisture (at a molecular level), generate lightning and other electromagnetic atmospheric phenomena, and has demonstrated excellent control over atmospheric pressure. She can incite all forms of meteorological tempests, such as tornadoes, thunderstorms, blizzards, and is capable of summoning a hurricane, as well as mist. She can dissipate such weather to form clear skies as well. Her precise control over the atmosphere allows her to create special weather effects. She can create precipitation at higher or lower altitudes than normal, make whirlwinds travel pointing lengthwise in any direction, absorb ambient electromagnetism and output it as powerful electric blasts from her body, flash freeze objects and people, coalesce atmospheric pollutants into acid rain or toxic fog, and summon wind currents strong enough to support her weight to elevate herself to fly at high altitudes and speeds. Her control is so great that she can even manipulate the air in a person’s lungs. She can also control the pressure inside the human inner ear, an ability she uses to cause intense pain. She can also bend light using moisture in the air and her manipulation of mist and fog to become partially transparent, and in later comics, almost completely invisible.
Storm has also demonstrated the ability to control natural forces that include cosmic storms, solar wind, ocean currents, and the electromagnetic field. She has demonstrated the ability to separate water molecules into oxygen and hydrogen via electrolysis, allowing her to breathe underwater. While in outer space, she is able to affect and manipulate the interstellar and intergalactic mediums. Storm can alter her visual perceptions so as to see the universe in terms of energy patterns, detecting the flow of kinetic, thermal and electromagnetic energy behind weather phenomena and bending this energy to her will.
Storm has shown to be sensitive to the dynamics of the natural world, and her psionic powers over weather are affected by her emotions. One consequence of this connection to nature is that she often suppresses extreme feelings to prevent her emotional state from resulting in violent weather. She has sensed a diseased and dying tree on the X-Mansion grounds, detected objects within various atmospheric mediums—including water, and sensed the incorrect motion of a hurricane in the Northern Hemisphere and the gravitational stress on the tides by the Moon and Sun as well as the distortion of a planet’s magnetosphere. Storm’s mutant abilities are limited by her willpower and the strength of her body.
If directors are serious about creating this movie Storm needs the African accent, attitude, and looks that would stun anybody. Let’s be real yall, Storm is a Goddess and needs nothing but the best in order to deliver a Box office hit!!!

I think halle berry would make a perfect storm movie and I think angela basset does not have the looks to do storm. With all do restpect she’s pretty but to old and has a masculine voice. Hello weare in a new generation not the 60s’70s’80s and 90s. Wear in late 2009 and its almost over. halle berry is one of those ladys that will always be ageless and worked out figure. she is the one and only best white haired storm there ever will be. She kicked butt in X-men The Last Stand. She makes a better Storm than Catwoman. All she needs in the Storm movie is white long hair and no bangs. With a low cut top and tight leather X-men pants. Someone else could do her childhood part in X-men orgins Storm movie and Halle Berry do the rest. And it can show how she learns to control her power and have Professor X be in bits of the movie and have Spike her cousin free her from out of control power.

Yes!Storm should have her own movie. It should be entitle “X-Men Origins: STORM”. And i really believe that Halle Berry can make a movie of storm perfectly.Storm is the most powerful among the all x-women

storm should definitely get her own movie. The sad part of that suggestion is Hollywood will definitely ruin my favorite marvel character, even though I was not a big fan of wolverine I liked his character as an x-man. but Hollywood ruined wolverine by making him this stable kindhearted leader, we rarely saw wolverine go berserk or saw an emotional battle between his feral mind and his human mind. Which I’m sure would take any of us off of Xavier’s list of people to leave in charge of a boarding school, and what was up with Lady Deathstrike??? I have to say that all of marvels movies sucked @$$. On the other hand it was a bit cool to see some of my faves as live action characters. as far as storm goes it would be interesting to see how the producers and writers explain how storm lost her “Nubian” accent (lol), or how she met Professor Xavier. Maybe they’ll make her an alien or a an actual goddess, maybe she is GOD and she doesn’t know… we’ll just have to hope they make a suck @$$ movie and see for ourselves what Hollywood will butcher next.

You guys need to let go of Halle sadly, in my opinion. You are talking origins here and all that she goes through which makes her very interesting is as a kid (Suez and her parents dying) Preteen years (Thieving and journey through Serengeti) and as a young adult (learning she’s not a goddess but a mutant and the ways of the Xmen). I mean Halle in no way looks old but I think she should represent the older experienced Storm who’s a leader in these last 3 and have someone younger represent the younger, newer Storm who’s still learning in an Origins film (with a very necessary accent). And if Halle may be too old, forget Angela Bassett. You’ve got to be kidding me with that one.

I really hope they do a storm movie. I just hope it is done right. A main villian idea would be Shadow King it would give storm the chance to really push herself to her limits and show why she truly deserves her own movie.
