Here’s a very cool story that came to my attention thanks to io9.  NASA is holding a poll that seeks input from the public to help them name the International Space Station’s Node 3 – a connecting module and its cupola that will be delivered by Space Shuttle in December 2009.

As of the time of writing this article, the leading contender with 86% of the vote (including mine) is ‘Serenity’, affectionately named after the ship featured in Joss Whedon’s brililant television series ‘Firefly’ and the follow up feature-film Serenity

Voting is free and requires no registration, so why not support the push to immortalize Joss Whedon and cast your vote here.
