Later Cameron told the audience that Sam Worthington is in every single Avatar scene and that he chose Worthington out of hundreds of possibles from a one line audition tape where Worthington says, “uh huh”.

“We were making a $200 million-plus movie and it’s all about the journey of one guy, Jake, and he’s in every scene in the film, from beginning to end. It all hangs on that one piece of casting.”

“Sam had me at ‘Uh huh,’ ” Cameron told the laughing audience.

Here’s the interview with Sam Worthington in which he emphasizes his no-nonsense attitude to filmmaking.
