‘Legend Of The Seeker’s Jessica Marais Hollywood Bound

Australian star Jessica Marais has set her sights on working in Hollywood and has reportedly signed with United Talent Agency, one of Hollywood’s largest talent agencies. United rep notable stars such as Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford and Charlize Theron.
Legend of the Seeker fans know Marais well from her brilliant performance as the Mord’Sith Denna in Legend of the Seeker episodes ‘Bloodline’ and ‘Denna’.
Keep your eye out for her name. Marais is a brilliant and popular actress who this year picked up two Logie Awards – Australia’s equivalent of the Emmy’s – and will no doubt take the US by storm. She does however clarify that she’s in no hurry to move to Los Angeles, preferring to wait for the right role.
“There are no plans to move there just yet – it’s more to have people on the ground over there looking at scripts and seeking out opportunities for me,” Marais said.

I thought Jessica Marais was very impressive as the character of Denna in “Legend of the Seeker”. It is too bad that the series was cancelled as I think it had a very good chance to draw a large audience by word of mouth.
