Knowing may be more brutal than the trailer suggests
According to Screenrant’s Sabrina Cognata, the new sci-fi thriller Knowing may end up being a more horrific movie than the trailer indicates. Cognata describes two disaster clips that were shown at Summit Entertainment’s panel as horrific and referred to their content as “way more than I bargained for.” Given that the subject of the new movie involves the ability to predict future disasters and that at least some of those disasters will happen in the movie, it seems like a good move to inject a more horrific tone to make the movie more gripping as well as more believable. I also can’t help but think with Nicholas Cage’s poor track record of top-class acting performances a more realistic take on the truth of human disaster will only help rather than hinder the chance at a good Cage performance.
