‘Legend Of The Seeker’ At Comic-Con 2009 On Thurs 23rd

Legend of the Seeker

The good news for Legend of the Seeker fans is that the series will have a presence at this years San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday July 23rd (exact time to be confirmed).

The bad news is that all four days of the Comic-Con are now booked out including July 23rd, so if you don’t already have tickets, then you’ve missed out on attending.

It is not yet known who from Legend of the Seeker will be attending.

Back in February TV Guide asked star Craig Horner (aka Richard Cypher/The Seeker) if he would be able to attend to which he replied:

If I’m not working that would be cool.

Unfortunately chances are high that he will be working. According to SpoilerTV the second and fourth episodes of Legend of the Seeker’s second season will be filming from July 21st through until August 21st.

Although filming of the new season is coinciding with Comic-Con that doesn’t automatically mean Craig Horner or Bridget Regan won’t be attending.  Yes, odds are low given filming will be (probably) taking place in New Zealand, though fans with tickets can hold out some hope given there has been no official announcement one way or the other.

Last year (before the series premiered) there was a Wizard’s First Rule panel at the 2008 Comic-Con which was attended by Executive Producer Sam Raimi, Ned Nalle, Rob Tapert and author Terry Goodkind.  The panel was used to unveil the Legend of the Seeker name.

This year Sam Raimi’s new series Spartacus: Blood and Sand will also have a presence at Comic-Con.  The cast of Spartacus: Blood and Sand includes Legend of the Seeker star Craig Parker (aka Darken Rahl) and so odds might be a little higher that both Sam Raimi and Craig Parker could make an appearance.

More news as it comes to hand.
