Official synopsis:

This was a great episode of Legend of the Seeker and a must watch because it helps set up the plot for the coming few episodes. http://www.legendseeker.net has a forum discussion going on about this episode. Check it out!

I agree. This was a fantastic episode with quite a bit of shock value and it lay the plot extremely well for the next few episodes.
