Luke Skywalker is Spike TV's No.1 "White Trash Hero"
Spike TV have not only made my week by releasing the new season of The Ultimate Fighter, but now they’ve also put a smile on my face with their list of “Top 10 White Trash Heroes.” Of course, I’m only smiling because of who came in at no.1 on that list.
Yes, as you can tell from the image above (and, erm the title of the post), it’s Luke Skywalker.
You have to give it to Spike TV for solid reasoning on their choice:
- He lives on a patch of dirt in the middle of nowhere
- He has lots of beat-up vehicles in his front yard
- He’s a greasemonkey
- He likes to make out with his sister
- He lives with his aunt and uncle ‘cause his dad killed his mom
They add that “Luke is proof that it’s not the vehicle you drive or the parents you have, but what’s inside that makes a true hero. Although it doesn’t hurt if you have a lightsaber and a robotic hand.”
Star Wars might have topped this list, but it came a mere second in Spike TV’s “Top Seven Sci-Fi Worlds We’d Like to Live In” list. Go here to find out who came first.
