Meghan Markle is a new FBI Agent in 'Fringe'
Back in May we learned that actor Kirk Acevedo, aka Agent Charlie Francis, had been “let go” from Fringe. Soon after we learned there would be a new FBI Agent in town – a female named Katherine.
Later we learned that Katherine would in fact be named Sonia Curtis who perhaps wasn’t so much the new FBI Agent in town as she was the new FBI Agent from an alternate reality town. Yes, it has been speculated that the new female FBI Agent would be a kind of alternate reality version of Olivia (even with two male assistants just like Walter and Peter).
In the latest news, the names of Katherine/Sonia Curtis have now been replaced by the name Amy Jessup and, at last, an actress has been officially named – Meghan Markle.
27 year old Markle has previously appeared in Knight Rider, CSI and as a model holding case number 24 in Deal or No Deal. She also appeared as the ‘hot girl’ in A Lot Like Love.
So will Markle’s character be an alternate reality version of Agent Dunham? All we know for sure is that Agent Jessup will be “an attractive, brash and quick-witted junior FBI agent”. Read into that as you may.
Fringe returns to Fox with its second season on September 17, 2009.
