Monique Ganderton Cast as Alia in ‘Smallville’
Monique Ganderton to star in 'Smallville'
Actress and stunt performer Monique Ganderton has apparently been cast in the new season of Smallville. Ganderton will take on the character named Alia – a beautiful, sexy femme fatale assassin with “mysterious ties to Clark and Krypton”.
Ganderton has previously appeared in Smallville where she performed as the stunt double for Cassidy Freeman (Tess Mercer).
She also has a role as a stunt double in the first episode of Syfy’s upcoming Stargate Universe.

- Smallville repeats will begin airing on the CW Network from July 31 at 8pm
- Ausiello reports that season 9 will be flooded with the iconic “S” symbol, including on Clark’s chest
- On July 26 at the San Diego Comic-Con (10:30-11:30) fans will be greeted to a Smallville panel consisting of cast members Erica Durance, Justin Hartley, Cassidy Freeman, Allison Mack and Callum Blue
The first episode of Smallville’s season 9, titled ‘Savior’, will air on the CW Network September 25,2009.
