MUST WATCH: ‘Paranormal Activity’ Trailer
Director Oren Peli’s Paranormal Activity has been widely reviewed as one of the scariest movies ever made.
A quick look at the entry page of the official website and you are immediately hit by all sorts of claims about how good this film supposedly is.

The story follows a young, middle class couple who move into a typical suburban house but soon begin to realize the house is inhabited by a presence that becomes most active in the middle of the night, especially when they sleep – or try to. They set up video surveillance to capture evidence of what happens at night as they sleep and, well, the rest is apparently nerve wracking.

I haven’t been scared or horrified by a movie in a long long time (since I was a kid). I’m always cautious of claims about just how scary these kinds of movies are. That said, I’m very keen to see Paranormal Activity, especially after reading a number of glowing reviews (such as Bloody-Disgusting’s review).
Paranormal Activity is set to be released in the US on September 25, however its release is limited. Check to see if it will be playing in your local theater and if it isn’t, head to the official website and demand it here. Apparently you HAVE to demand it because, as Bloody-Disgusting put it, this is a movie made for the theater.
I notice also that the film is scheduled for release in Australia from December 3, 2009, although I was unable to find it listed as “coming soon” with either of the two major cinema chains there. If you have news on the Australian distribution, by all means let me know.

It reminds me of the REC spanish trailer where you could see the audience react to the movie.
Movie looks good though, it has a “Blair Witch” touch (scariest theater experience for me), mixed with “The Exorcist”.
We all are afraid of what is hidden under the bed, and the movie seems to play with this. Definitely on my watch list.

Everything I have read everywhere about this movie and the several different trailers I’ve seen of it has me questioning whether or not to see it. Only becos I don’t want to be THAT scared. Geez, what if this movie upsets the energies around me and when I get home shit happens. You know. It’s messed up. I really don’t know whether or not to see it. I know it’s all fiction, but psychologically what can a movie like this achieve from their audience?? Freaky……

I would have loved to see the trailer so I could decide whether I wanted to see the movie but since it’s been pulled I’ll take that as a sign to wait for the DVD.
