New Release Date for ‘Dorian Gray’
Director Oliver Parker’s adaptation of the Oscar Wilde supernatural thriller Dorian Gray will be released in the UK slightly earlier than previously scheduled.
I’m not exactly sure how much earlier since some sites report the film’s release date as September 18 whilst others report it as September 11. In any case, the official release date in the UK is now September 9, 2009.
The US release date has not been confirmed.
If you don’t know anything about Dorian Gray you’re not alone as very little has been released to promote the film. Even the web address listed on the poster isn’t active.
You will however recognize the face of Dorian Gray in the above photograph. Yes that’s Ben Barnes (aka Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian).
Dorian Gray tells the story of a corrupt young man who manages to remain eternally young and handsome as long as a special painting of him remains unharmed.
With the release looming I expect we’ll hear more information in the near future.

I remember the character, Dorian Gray from the movie, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen…haha. This movie sounds like it might be something worth watching. Can’t wait!

Check this out for a classic case of plagiarism.
Sci Fi Pulse posted this a day or so after your article:
http://scifipulse.net/?p=10410
It’s about 85% identical to your article with only a few things amended here and there.
It is obviously your article was copied and pasted word for word, changed a little, and then no credit given to Sci Fi Scoop.
What a blatant rip off.

They should practice what they preach.

Yes it’s definitely almost a copy of my original article with only minor changes to the structure and some wording.
However, I’d rather give them the benefit of the doubt. Ian Cullen (the writer/editor of the site) may have had every intention to include a source link and back link. When you’re writing articles day in and day out sometimes things you intend to include get missed and occasionally it happens without ill intention. This is probably one of those cases.
I shot him a message. I’m sure he’ll fix it up and no harm done.

There’s link now, Ian was just flat out as I suggested. Thanks for the heads up but always good to take a breath before getting too upset guys! Sci Fi Pulse are good guys.
Now, back to the story.
I wonder when the trailer will surface?
