Trailer For John Hillcoat’s ‘The Road’ Released
A trailer for the highly anticipated The Road has been released. Watch the trailer now:
The Road is based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel of the same name and has been billed as an Oscar hopeful. Esquire have even referred to it as ‘the most important movie of the year’.
The film is directed by John Hillcoat (The Proposition) and stars Viggo Mortenson, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Guy Pearce, Charlize Theron, Garret Dillahunt and Robert Duvall. It tells the story of a father (Viggo Mortensen) and son’s (Kodi Smit-McPhee) lone trek across a burned out and lawless America as they head for the coast – not knowing what awaits them there whilst trying to survive the trials and dangers along the way.
The Road will be released October 16, 2009.
