Oscar Winner to Write ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2′
Fox have hired Christopher McQuarrie to write the script for X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2.
McQuarrie’s previous credits include Valkyrie, Way of the Gun, and he won an Oscar for his screenplay to The Usual Suspects. He also worked with Bryan Singer to write X-Men but isn’t on the credits (he pulled his name as he felt the final product was more David Hayter’s than his).
He’s charged with the no easy task of adapting the highly popular 1982 Chris Claremont and Frank Miller four issue miniseries Wolverine.
Wolverine follows Logan as he travels to Japan, finds love, battles to quell his killer instinct by living under the samurai’s code of honor and respect, and fights lots of Ninja’s. Wolverine was the character’s first solo comic debut and also the story that coined his famous line, “I’m the best there is at what I do, but what I do isn’t very nice.”
Hugh Jackman is reprising his role and producing the sequel together with Lauren Shuler Donner.
Jackman says the film will be the “sexiest” yet and will probably be released in 2012.

A shame Singer isn’t attached to direct. The previous Wolverine movie never got the emotions right like the first X-men movie did. I’m so bored with the comic book movies that only adds new “cool characters, cool action moves and to quick pacing to actually care for the characters”. This movie really needs to get the drama right. Slow it down when it needs. First Wolwerine movie messed that up.

What About Gambit? I like how he stirred up and reorganized atoms in “Wolverine- Orgins .” Remy should have his own movie. Don’t you agree, mon ami (P.S. He didn’t say it once in the movie, why?)
It’s so appropriate that Taylor Kitsch being an Aries, was picked to play Gambit.
