‘Primeval’ TV Series is Back!
ITV's Primeval has been renewed for two more seasons!
Here’s an amazing story that I never thought I’d get to write (and which I wish I would get to write about Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles amongst others).
Back in June it was officially announced that ITV’s creature-feature series Primeval had been canceled. That story was true, but now Primeval fans are going to be very happy to hear that BBC America and UKTV have stepped in to save the show by sharing the costs of the production with Impossible Pictures.
Not only has Primeval been revived from the grave, it will also get not one but two new series (series=seasons in the US) which will total 13 episodes.
The fourth season will premiere on ITV early in 2011. The fifth season will premiere on UKTV later in 2011.
Primeval fans will be ecstatic, because the new deal is on top of Warner Bros. continued production of a full scale Primeval feature film. Lots of Primeval goodies on the way!

I am happy about the decision to bring the series back, but its still a shadow of it’s former self without Nick Cutter. Can’t anyone get Dougie to return?

YESSSSSS! This just made my Christmas! I cannot wait for the series and film, I absolutely love Andrew-Lee Potts (Connor Temple) and really look foreward to the new seasons
P.S. ANYONE who hasn’t seen the movie (technically 2 night miniseries) Alice on SyFy and is a Primeval fan MUST, Andrew-Lee is AMAZING in it as The Hatter and even wears the hat similar to the one from Primeval in season 3! Hallelujah (:

I am so excited!! I watched all 3 series on Netflix in 2DAYS. This show is more addictive than Torchwood!

HELL YEAH! the series 3 ending was a cliffhanger so im so STOKED.
love this show! i have all the dvds and have watched it 4 times already. So much much:D
and yes Primeval fans need to watch Alice. Andrew Lee Potts’ character Hatter was so great.

Primeval has to come back for many more seasons. It is a totally awesome show! I count the days between seasons for Primeval, Doctor Who and Torchwood. Keep them coming! The more the better.

I loved this show, but after Cutter was killed off I couldn’t bring myself to watch further episodes. Douglas Henshall’s character IMHO was even more pivotal to the success of Primeval than the character of Helen. I would really like to see Cutter come back for the feature film. If Warner Bros. provides sufficient monetary enticement maybe Henshall will reconsider.

OMG…..I was just looking up to see when Hannah Spearritt and Andrew Lee-Potts were getting married and I read something on wikipedia about a season 5 so I googled season 4 of primeval…cos I knew there couldn’t be a 5 without 4. I found this post and I was ecstatic…..my mum and I are huge huge fans of the show and this just made our day to hear it coming back!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Nick Cutter should come back to the show. Connor better not leave, he is amazing. lol. i was looking for season 4 when i saw a news article saying it was canceled. i was devistated i was like “NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!” Then i saw this and my hopes where revived. PRIMEVAL IS THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!!! GO CONNOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im really glad primeval is coming back in 2011 i thought it had finished for ever i am a big fan off it i’ve gott all the dvds series 1,2,3 but i cant wait for series 4 i hope its going to be really good and it was like my favorite tv program on saturdays thank you xxxxxxxxxxx

My family and I are estactic that they are Primeval is coming back! It was a show that all of us could agree on and we watch our DVD sets alot! Cannot wait for it to get back! I am addicted to alot of BBC America show but this is my fave!!

Loved seasons 1 & 2. Really disappointed by developments in season 3. They MUST find a script gimmick to bring back Nick Cutter and Claudia Brown and to GET THEM TOGETHER!! Same for Connor and Abby. I want them out of that tree, back into their flat, hooked up and surrounded by cute beasties and several children!! Anything less will perpetually ruin Primeval for me.

Would you please hurry. My husband and I are old (81 & 77) people in the states and love the show. Claudia is a doofass but the rest of the cast are great, Nick, Abbie and Conner are terrific. Animation wonderful. Get the show going soon we’re getting older than dirt waiting for it.

Excellent. I reckon they’ve left it open for Nick to return – well it’s primeval, so surely anything is possible. Was it him or was it really his double that died?????

I really go into Primeval. It was bad enough that you killed of Stephen, BUT THEN you went and killed of Nick. I really hope that with your temporal shifts and all that you can find a way to bring back Nick Cutter. Love that Scottish accent!!!! Looking forward to season 4.

I can not believe it I have been waiting for so long I have followed primeval since the begining so much so that I nearly broke into tears when both Nick and Steven died and now I am so extatic because the premiere is so close,and I am shure this will be the best season yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just discovered this incredible show and I’m glued to my tv for the entire day of it’s episodes. I’m thrilled to read that it’s going to get another shot for 2 seasons so others may discover it.

For some reason I cannot remember a lot of the last episode of Season 3. I remember how Danny got stranded and I remember how Abby and Connor got stranded, but I don’t remember how Christine and Sarah died. Can someone remind me?

Wait till you guys see the new Primeval. Season 4 just started this week. It is completely different, but still a great show. I will always miss Nick Cutter and Stephen, and they now have a new Scottish fellow.

primeval is the best thing on tv since 2007 it was a shame to see nick and steven go some how they will find a way of evolving around it love the new series cant wait for danny to return love that guy …
