The British actor who played Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode 1 -  The Phantom Menace, Ray Park, is apparently in talks to join Heroes.

It is speculated that Park, who also played Toad in X-Men, may be looking at a character advertised as ‘Knife Thrower’, which means he’ll probably have the powers of, erm, a knife thrower.

Park can next be seen as Snake Eyes in the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra.

In additional Heroes casting tidbits, Deanne Bray (The L Word) is also in talks to join the show, possibly as a character named Emma – a hearing impaired love interest of one of the main Heroes.

Filming on the new season begins next week.

Heroes returns to US TV in September at 8pm on Mondays.
