Fans looking forward to director Darren Aronofsky’s ultra-violent remake of Robocop are going to have to wait another year.

According to MGM, the film’s originally scheduled 2010 release has now been put back to sometime in 2011.

Screen writer David Self (Road to Perdition / Thirteen Days / The Wolf Man / The Haunting) is reportedly still working with Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain / The Wrestler) on development of the script.

No other details are to hand.
