Rumor: Marcus Nispel To Direct ‘Conan’
Possible 'Conan' Director Marcus Nispel is on the right (if you couldn't tell)
An unnamed but apparently ‘impeccable source’ has told CHUD Marcus Nispel has officially signed on to direct the new Conan film.
46 year old Nispel’s previous directing credits include Friday the 13th, Pathfinder and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
I’d write more however it should also be remembered that in May CHUD also reported that James McTeigue had been hired to direct Conan. Back then the news came from a “very trustworthy, very much correct in the past source.” That’s not quite as good as “impeccable” but it’s close.
Although this latest news may eventually prove accurate (and CHUD’s source assures them the deal is done and this is no rumor), it may nonetheless be wise to chalk Nispel’s involvement up to rumor until an official announcement is made.
