‘Short Circuit’ Remake Will Be Directed By Steve Carr
Short Circuit Remake - an original 1986 sci-fi comedy about a robot who’s started to think due to short circuit - will be directed by Steve Carr, who has been signed to the role by Dimension Films.
Steve Carr, who might not be know to the general public, has directed Kevin James’ Paul Blart: Mall Cop. Scripted by Dan Milano (Robot Chicken), the remake is a robot reboot that brings the iconic Johnny 5 into the 21st century. Built by the military to be a highly sophisticated weapon, Johnny 5 develops a conscience and personality after being hit by lightning. He befriends a lonely boy and his fractured family.
Short Circuit will be released sometime in 2010.
