Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy Joins The Cast Of ‘Fringe’

An inside source has reportedly and exclusively confirmed to Fringe Television that Leonard Nimoy has been cast in Fringe.
Nimoy, who is most well known for his portrayal of Spock in Star Trek, will play the pivotal character of William Bell – the founder of Massive Dynamic and Walter’s original lab partner at Harvard.
It is expected that Nimoy’s first appearance will be in this season’s finale, ‘There’s More Than One Of Everything’, set to air May 12th.
The popular actor, who starred in 80 episodes of the original Star Trek television series and 49 episodes of the 1969-1971 Mission Impossible television series, has more recently reprised his role as Spock in J.J. Abrams’ new Star Trek movie. He is also the voice behind the villain in Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen set for release 24 June.
The character of William Bell has already appeared in the Fringe comic and it is said his appearance in the television series forms part of a wider story arc. With a high profile casting choice such as Leonard Nimoy it seems almost a certainty that Fox intend to renew Fringe for a second season.
