A British Appeals courts has given a verdict in the favor of Andrew Ainsworth who now can legally sell the replicas of Stormtrooper helmets. The helmets became popular with the Andrew Lucas’ Star Wars. This was a $20 million lawsuit that was dragging in the legal corridors for the last five years. The legal battle can continue for a longer period of time if Lucasfilm takes the petition to the British Supreme Court. The appeals court gave its verdict in the favor of Ainsworth as it ruled that the helmets were more utilitarian rather than artistic. Helmets certainly seem to have their fair share of controversy.
