Sumthing Else Releases ‘Street Fighter IV’ Game Soundtrack
On May 11 we were pleased to hear that Sumthing Else Music Works had partnered with Capcom on a mission to release original soundtracks from best-selling Capcom games.
Sumthing Else are the industry leader for licensing and distributing video game soundtracks and their deal with Capcom expanded not only their product line, but also the availability of a number of awesome music scores for soundtrack fans.
The beginning of a long line of great releases began today with Sumthing Else announcing the release of the score to Street Fighter IV. The score, by renowned Japanese composer Hideyuki Fukasawa, contains 41 tracks spanning 2-CD’s of energetic, ambitious fighting game music.
Street Fighter IV will be released on May 26, 2009. You can check it out on Amazon here.
Street Fighter IV is just the first of many. Sumthing Else will also be releasing the scores to Bionic Commando, Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and Spyborgs.
Fans of the best television composer in the business, Bear McCreary (Battlestar Galactica / Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles / Eureka) will also be ecstatic to hear that Sumthing Else will also be releasing McCreary’s epic score to Capcom’s Dark Void.
