The Box Office Loves ‘Knowing’, But Critics Don’t
Knowing, the new sci-fi thriller from Alex Proyas starring Nicholas Cage, has destroyed it’s competition over the weekend with a box office take of $24.8 million.
The film is an odd ball – it has been reasonably well received by most viewers, and poorly received by most critics. This is perhaps best exemplified on Meta Critic where the review rating from 40 reviews offers up a 39/100 score whilst users have voted it at 7.8/10. Rotten Tomatoes have it at just 25/100 whilst on the flip side it enjoys a reasonable rating of 7.3/10 on the IMDB.
