The Orphanage Finds New Takers
The Orphanage has new takers and this time the Spanish El Orfanato, a tale of ghosts, is being adapted for the big screen by Mark Pellington. The others who are involved in the project are Tripp Vinson and Beau Flynn from the ContraFilm and Guillermo del Toro. Penning the story for the screen adaptation is Del Toro and Larry Fessenden. The original film had Belen Rueda playing the lead and Del Toro taking the chair of the creative supervisor. Mark Pellington is popular films like The Mothman Prophecies, U2 3D, Henry Poole Is Here and Arlington Road. Well, the itinerary of Del Toro is quite packed up for the season but The Orphanage is under development since 2007.
