‘The Wolfman’ Trailer and Images
Universal Pictures has released their first trailer and a batch of new images for its upcoming remake of the 1961 film The Wolfman.
Check them out after the jump.
Spoiler Warning – This is one film where the synopsis and the trailer really give away the whole film.
The Wolfman is directed by Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park 3 / Hidalgo) and stars Benicio Del Toro as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman who returns to his family estate in search of his missing brother. There he is reunited with his father (Anthony Hopkins) and sets out to find his brother, only to fall prey to an ancient curse that turns the afflicted into werewolves.
Oscar-winning special effects artist Rick Baker, who also worked on the classic An American Werewolf in London, Wolf and The Howling, brings his design and makeup talents to transform Del Toro into the Wolfman.
Watch the trailer now:
Music is by Danny Elfman (Terminator Salvation / Hellboy 2 / Planet of the Apes). I believe a snippet of his atmospheric score can be heard playing in the background of the official The Wolfman website.
